Women

Care for the Elderly

Through CFI’s Mercy Homes, Old age Homes and other facilities, we are able to provide a home, love, care, and medical help for people who are abandoned and also provide counselling. Through these interventions, many of these precious people are restored to health and reconciled with their families for good.

Care for Widows and Orphans

Caring for the widows, orphans or sick and needy people is not an option for the CFI workers; for them this is their passion. They are willing to open their hearts and homes but need our help. They usually don’t have the finances to provide medical care and other practical help.
Please uphold them with your valuable time and money, especially those who are sick, homeless, abandoned or unwanted by their own. Encourage CFI workers who are caring for these desperate people.
You can also partner with us to support more people in need. Please do feel free to contact CFI for more information.

A Home for widows

In a country where the majority believes in these concepts without ever realizing the pain, the rejection and the emotional oppression and persecution that the victim undergoes, the first solution to the issue is slowly rejecting the person from the manifold.
In a country where mass migration takes place at a higher pace than ever before, widows of the family are left behind to attend for themselves. Poor families cannot take them along, Especially their aged and widowed mothers who would become a major burden to them, in the search for food and shelter in an unknown city. Hence, widows are often left behind in the villages in  the care of the relatives who are also struggling to make both ends meet.

Widow Home:A Home for the homeless

CFI‘s fifteen years of engagement with the poor and the marginalized in the villages of India has wrought tremendous transformation in the lives of these villagers. Our partnership has resulted in offering education, health care, employment opportunities and shelter to disadvantaged people of different age groups.
Our workers see and hear every day, the heart-breaking scenes of widows begging in the streets, exploited by temple priests and criminals, and abused by visitors and vendors.
Acting towards this great cause a widow home has been inaugurated in Lucknow on 28th of February, 2014.  At present we are taking care of five widows who are from Muslim background and were slum dwellers. We provide for them, shelter them and restore as much as possible from a society that considers widows as an economic burden and an inauspicious person or a bad omen to have at home..
We have committed staffs who take up the cause of these widows who are forced out of their homes to live in pilgrim centres and road sides. They have a heart to restore, and offer love, support and care for the aged women.
CFI incorporates certain facilities that enhance the quality of life of the inmates while they are sheltered in the Care Homes.
They are:

  1. Proper Meals three times a day
  2. Medical Care and Routine Check ups
  3. Separate Cot and bedding for each inmate
  4. Separate time for Meditation and Prayer as community and as individuals
  5. Spaces for exercise
  6. Recreational activities like Paper Bag production, candle making and sewing centers
  7. Avenues for the Relatives and friends to maintain rapport
  8. Assistance of Medical Staff round the clock.

CFI believes that the homeless widows in Uttar Pradesh must know that there are people who can take care of them. By reaching out to them and tending to their needs, we believe, that our actions would communicate the message of love.

Our aim is to transform lives, redefine priorities of a consumerist world and orient the generation towards leadership and responsibility to the poor and the down trodden.
CFI’s aim is to reach out the people who have no one to take care of them. And we believe that our efforts to reach and protect the most vulnerable section of the population, the aged widowed mothers would communicate the language of love and care. We need your partnership and strong support to help us give a better, safer and healthier environment to widows who are rejected from their homes.

We request you to stand with us, help us wipe the tears of our homeless mothers, feed them and care for them till our responsibility to each widow is fulfilled.
